Kakuma Voc. Center Rebuild, Refugee Camp, Kenya
Donation protected
Kakuma Vocational Center (KVC), Kakuma Refugee Camp , Kenya is a non-profit community-based organization founded in 2018 to provide a safe environment for refugee children and to equip them with the tools to build a better future for themselves. The center serves about 820 students with technical programs including as graphic design, wood working, tailoring, soap-making etc.
I have been mentoring these students for the past year with ideation and problem solving tools. Recently we also equipped the center with laptops, printers, tablets and chairs to make the classes more productive for the students.
Unfortunately, on Jan 28th, a fire burned down their structure and compound, disabling the center. While nobody was hurt, and the equipment was safely removed, the physical rooms were destroyed. Currently most programs are being operated from a church and we are unsure when this would be unavailable.

This fund raiser is to help rebuild the center and to restart the programs. I'm seeking community support and appreciate any amount you can donate to this effort. No amount is small, even if it is a dollar, and all contributions will go directly to fund the rebuild.
